About CLHS
For over a decade, California League of High Schools has worked as the only professional association in California solely committed to supporting high school educators and their students.
A non-profit membership association, CLHS is dedicated to improving the professional knowledge of high school educators so that all students may experience academic success and personal well-being.
Staff Development
CLHS is an organization led by California educators, for California educators. We offer conferences, workshops, and development opportunities that are aligned to and address national and state standards.

Recognition
CLHS has two recognition programs:
- Educator of the Year - This award honors more than 100 outstanding educators each year from throughout the state.
- Legislator of the Year - CLHS acknowledges legislators who have made significant efforts to create and support legislation benefiting high school educators and students.

An inclusive organization, CLHS offers Institutional and Individual memberships. Our members are administrators, teachers, parents, professors, policymakers, and others interested in the achievement of high school students.

Resources
CLHS provides timely education news to members through the electronic opt-in service, League Links. Members who sign up for League Links receive e-mailed copies of the High School Educator (the CLHS newsletter), and Legislative Updates. These publications provide educators with the latest information on high schools, including professional development, best practices, legislation and policy. Members also have the opportunity to publish original articles.
CLHS has developed professional relationships with educational organizations throughout the state and nation, including the California Department of Education , the National Association of Secondary School Principals and the National High School Association.
CLHS offers high school educators a unified approach to school-wide improvement that addresses both student achievement and the developmental needs of high school students.

Committees
CLHS is a grassroots, nonprofit organization that seeks to involve middle level educators from throughout the state through its committee structure. Each committee is chaired by a volunteer CLHS trustee and staffed by volunteer high school educators representing 11 regions throughout the state.
