Peter Murphy
Executive Director, California League of High Schools
Peter Murphy is the founding executive director of the California League of High Schools. A former principal and teacher and a longtime leader in state and national school reform efforts, Peter has been a force in public education for nearly four decades and is well-informed on a broad range of topics.

Don Beauregard
Chair, California League of High Schools
Don Beauregard is the chair of the California League of High Schools.  In his "day job," Don coordinates the Teacher Internship Program for California State University , Fresno . Previously he served as a teacher, principal and district administrator for Fresno Unified School District .  Don is knowledgeable on many aspects of the high school, including teacher certification and school management. He can also connect journalists with professors specializing in different areas of education research.

Arlene LaPlante
Director, CLHS Small Learning Communities Support Team
For more than 25 years, Arlene has been on the cutting edge of school reform, building successful student achievement programs and applying her expertise in curriculum and instruction to the creation of effective staff development models. As director of the CLHS Small Learning Communities Support Team, she consults with schools and districts nationwide. Arlene is an articulate source in the areas of high school curriculum, instruction, assessment, small schools, project-based learning and small learning communities.
